OOPS - COPPER MOUNTAIN
New snowboarder here and thinking of going to Copper Mountain March 9-13. What will the conditions be like at that time? Just looking at covering all the green runs there. Also, when flying with your snowboard, are you suppose to remove the bindings? Never taken my board on the plane before. Thanks, newbie Last edited by firstx1017; 01-27-2011 at 11:05 AM. It could be powder, ice, slush, boilerplate, hard pack, or any combo of those conditions. There will be snow. Predicting what the conditions are going to be is not possible. You tell me what it's going to be. That is as good as my guess.
I generally do not take my bindings off in my board bag. I do pack a lot of soft goods around the bindings to help protect them in the bag. Plus it helps me manage the weight limits. Copper should be a good spot for you. They have a beginner side of the mountain. All lift served with a fair amount of terrain. It keeps you away from people with higher abilities. The advertise naturally separated terrain and that is what they have. If you feel bolder, it's easy to get to the intermediate areas and beyond. Look at the weather report 3-5 days out from your trip and you should have a better day as to what to expect when you arrive... |
