Default Colorado Lodging

Hello All,

I am a fairly new snowboarder and absolutely love it. I have been a number of times though all on the east coast since I live in Georgia.
I am planning a trip to Colorado and want to hit Breckenridge or WinterPark. I am just curious if anyone has some tips for good places to stay while on the trip. I am bringing family along so a town with other things to do is a plus. I have been looking around and found some places but most are over a hour away from either mountain. Side note, I am trying to have the plane tickets plus the hotel be at or under $3500 and the plane tickets were 600. Sooo yeah. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thank you for your time.

Vrbo.vom is what I always use. Just book a condo in Vail at $60/ night.

VRBO.com is good. Outside of that, I have stayed at a Woodwinds property in Breck (Inner circle condos, very convenient location and great value). Keep in mind, lodging prices fluctuate with the season, and you didn't mention how many beds you need and how long you plan to stay.

Ahh Thank you for both of your replys. I plan on staying from either the 12th - the 19th or from 13th to the 18th depending on school activities for the younger members coming. It would be 5 of us altogether, though I am used to sleeping on the floor since thats what I do everyday anyways .

edit: I am looking though all the locations on Vrbo and I'm just curious how close these all are? From looking on the map I cant say more than 10minuets? Do you prefer any of them or should all be well which ever location I choose?

Thank you all very much for your help. On to do more research!
