East Coaster going out West for the first time
I am going to Utah in two days. I will be snowboarding from the 20th to the 26th, most likely at the Canyons, Park City, and Snowbird. I saw that they are expecting some snow which means fresh powder. Being an east coast rider, I have never riden in powder deeper than six inches to a foot. I consider myself upper-intermediate to advanced for the East coast, I like really steep trails and bumps. I saw that canyons has a deal where for $81, I can go on a 2.5 hour "Pure Powder Workshop" which will help me learn to make the most out of the powder and find some of the best spots on the mountain. Does anyone have any experience with such a workshop? It is worth it or just a waste of time? Also, any tips for riding out west?
Thanks a lot
