I'm planning on staying at the Canyons, Liftopia has a deal for 1 or 2 day passes there. I was thinking for my third day going to Solitude or Brighton, but is there somewhere closer that I would enjoy too? I've only ever been to Snowbird. Only asking because UT 224 looks like it's closed, so those resorts are really not-so-close.
Thanks!

Ut 224? are you referring to guardsmans pass section of 224? that's always closed all winter. no winter maintenance on it . its kind of a dirt road anyway. can only drive it in the summer. most of the year you have to go around and down to 215 in SLC and into the main entryway to big cottonwood canyon to get to solitude or brighton. but even then its a short drive. only about 45 mins. I'm personally a huge fan of solitude. place is the least crowded of the cottonwood resorts seemingly and I can't figure out why because its kickass. some great terrain especially honeycomb canyon and fantasy ridge.
