Question Help Pick a Season Pass! (Tahoe)

Hey guys,

I know there are quite a few threads devoted to this already, but I wanted to see what you guys think the best resort for ME is.

This will be my second REAL season snowboarding. But don't get me wrong, I had a season pass to Sierra, Heavenly and Northstar last year and I am able to do black diamonds at all three and many other technical tree riding runs.

What I look for in a resort:
1. Powder
2. Trees
3. Varried and a lot of terrain to explore
4. Good vibe
In that order.

I loved the trees of Sierra, but sadly they are not joining Vail this year. So it is out. I am worried about the crowds at heavenly and Northstar. Northstar was always packed when I went (weekends) and I only got to go on the Nevada side because I was with a friend (he only did blues). But they are still great mountains.

That being said, my pass options (due to me being a poor high school student )
1.Northstar/Heavenly
2.Alpine/Homewood
3.Kirkwood (Kind of far because I live in Sacramento. Do you think the drive will be too risky for me,as I will be driving without adults this year?)
4.Sugar Bowl (Been here as a little kid. Is it enough to keep me entertained for a whole year?)
5. Squaw


Please rate these from greatest to least for me! I appreciate it guys!


On a un-related note; I may be living in South Lake after High School to go to the JC there. How is the living conditions and difficulty to find housing. Is it too difficult to study with all the freedom up there?

Did you get the memo that there's a combined Alpine/Homewood/Kirkwood pass this year?

I did, but it's going to cost me close to $500 when all is said and done, and I just don't have that type of cash =(
