Jackson Hole Mountain Resort - Dec. 31 2011

Short version: Good snow coverage, lots of powder to be found (10-12 in acumulation). Biggest crowds I have ever seen at JHMR

Long version:
All of the pent up snow-aggression in Jackson seems to have finally burst today. 10-12 inches overnight (after 5-7 earlier this week) and skiers/snowboarders showed up today (a Saturday) in FORCE. It did not help that no lifts were open on time.

The area by Teewinot and the Gondola had weekend-at-Breckenridge-sized crowds. Lifts opened one by one.... but by 11AM I had only been able to do 3 runs (on greens, no less).

Things picked up after the Gondola and Apres Vous lifts opened up and there was more than enough powder to go around. A good day to be at JHMR
