Weekend Trip in NH/VT

Hey guys,

So I need some advice please...

This Friday my friends and I are staying at a house we scored up in NH.
I'm trying to read the weather and see what's a good resort we can snowboard at for 2 days.

From looking at weather conditions and cheap price for tickets I'm thinking about Smuggs.

It looks like a 3 hour drive on both Sat and Sun from the house which is pretty far, but it seems like a great place. Worth it? Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Well if you are looking into VT. Smuggs is a great choice, however I can tell you from an ammnt of open terrain and snow quality that the Mad River Valley has the best right now. Sugarbush in particular. I was there last wknd for three days. They are expecting more snow this week too. Smuggs just doesn't have as much base right now and they don't make as much as some of the other areas, the terrain there is awesome if there is snow. 3 Hrs each day is a pretty long trip, maybe consider something closer in NH??

Sugarbush looks like it's pretty icy now from what I'm reading about people that went yesterday. But they are expecting about 3 inches by Saturday.

I would go to a closer resort in NH if the snow is worth it, or else it seems like I'd go to smuggs for snow. I think smuggs is gonna get 3-6 inches total tonight, friday and saturday. Any snow is better than ice right?

Can anyone tell which resort is gonna get the best snow this weekend, preferably in NH?

Everywhere is going to be pretty much hard packed......unless you know where to find the goods.
It's been very windy/cold in VT the last several days. And Sumggs did not get the same dumping that sugarbush got last friday/saturday. Bush as of last wknd had more open terrain than anywhere else in NE. I just dont know if either place is going to be worth a 3hr drive from NH.
