Id live in Whistler or Banff. Boarding every day is great any everything, but id want a night life and place with good restaurants and people. In Whistler you have easy access to two Mountains and in Banff moderately easy access to 3 although you will need a car there or pay for shuttles everyday. If you are going to buy a seasons pass at Whistler and if you are a legitimate student check and see if your oz student card will be accepted when buying a seasons pass. You save a shit load...like 75% or something like that.

Decided to go with whistler. Was heading there with friends first and it turns out that we were staying long enough that I might as well just get a season pass for about the same price. Having a season pass there doesn't give me much incentive to buy another season pass for another mountain since I'm on a pretty tight budget.

Can't wait!

Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone.

Hey timetowastetime

I'm heading over to whistler in late November for the season as well, gonna be my first season over there. When you heading over? Any thoughts on finding accomodation? I'm gonna book into the hostel for the first couple of weeks and try like crazy to find a place to stay, I know a few people who have done this in seasons passed and it seemed to work for them, hopefully it will for me too

Hi Rider,

I don't get to whistler until around January so I figure I can't really find an apartment before leaving as they will be all taken. Will just try find something when I get there, otherwise stay in a hostel

See you on the slopes
