Snowboard Trip...Copper or Winter Park - Snowboarding Forum

I am going on a snowboard trip Nov 14 (Winter park opening day) through Nov 18th. I have 5 year old boy mini ripper, wife, and 8 month baby girl. Which resort do you think would be less crowded? I ride with my 5 year old on a leash and less crowds would be better for him to learn.

Don't really matter, there aint much snow yet. You might find one or two runs open this time of year

Copper is going to be a better choice at that time of year. Their snowmaking system is much better than Winterpark's. They will in all likely hood have more terrain open at that time.

Mid winter I'll take Winterpark over Copper hands down for Freeride terrain. They are not even in the same ball park...

Go to Copper because even if the snow is just ok Woodward is right there and its sick.

Go to Copper. Better Park and an all around great mountain. Despite the lack of snow you will still have fun.

November 18th is two weeks away, you will be lucky to have more than one or two lifts open regardless of where you go. Not a good time to plan a trip for.
