Anybody know when to expect the busy weeks/weekends in Europe this season with school holidays and bank holidays etc?

I'll probably fly into Geneva at the beginning of March, would like to schedule around any mid term holidays or things like that.

All i know is that my mid term holiday begins at the 8 of februari, and that's in Belgium, from what I've heard the other countries have them later, I think from 23 februari untill 11 March

Cheers for that mate thats crackin. I'm thinkin around 5th March, might be a few frenchies around suppose I can handle that. Could leave it until the 16th March and have a holiday free period but I'm a bit hesitant to postpone.. I want good snow!

Going before the holidays might be an even better choice, because snow in Europe tends to start, well just starts to suck when nearing Easter, a lot of ski area's need to use snow cannons to compensate when nearing the Easter holidays. Unless you're going to a ski-area that's very high, then normally you should still have some good snow

Anyway, this is all just experience I had over the years, I can't predict the weather and conditions for this year

Expect week 7-9 to be busy.

The normal winter break in europe is one of those weeks depending on the country, and many places will be really crowded but mostly on the easier runs and in the lifts..

Just about to pull the trigger on Chamonix start of March. Unfortunately can't be any earlier so I hope the snow will decide to hang around!
