I'm also planning a big trip to UT this Winter, but we've been told to not waste our time riding Park City and will be going elsewhere instead.

I might be doing Park City as well. There is a strip of restaurants and bars in Park City should be a few clubs there too but not sure. Thats why I was planning on staying there as I found theres not too much going on in SLC or its suburbs, please anyone correct me if Im wrong would love to find some nightlife around Midvale or where to go in downtown SLC. Never rode Park City, my usual is hit brighton the first day to warm up the legs, then Solitude the next, Powder Mntn. the next, and Snowbasin. Had a blast at all of them except Snowbasin was foggy when I was there so looking forward to trying it again. Park City will put you pretty much in the middle of these 4 resorts, it wont be right outside your door but its not that much of a ride and you will still have the nightlife of Park City when u get back. Best of both worlds.

If you are staying in Park City, there is a resort down the road called the Canyons. It is a little different than PC, but definitely not the other places like Snowbird, Pow Mountain, or Bright-itude. It has a lot of terrain, and if the snow is good, then check it out. If you are getting limited snowfall, check-in on places like Snowbird, Solitude, or Brighton. They are about 55 minutes from PC and generally get more snow than PC/Canyons. Think about it this way, when PC is getting 2 inches, Snowbird is getting a foot. I've seen it happen. As far as drinks in PC, the No Name Saloon and High Whiskey are well-known watering holes. There's also the Spur that has live tunes. Any locals wanna chime-in on a Shooting Star-esque or Cotton Bottom-esque bar in Park City?

I've done Main Street, South of Temple....decent collection of bars there. I've never had a bad time at Gracie's, though it could be a shitshow at times.

The good news is, everything is a relatively short drive no matter where you stay, as long as you have a rental. So it seems like a good idea to just do 1 day at PC and then spread the other days out exploring other better mtns. I'm not saying we won't hit PC, as I kind of want to ride 1 day there so we check it out for ourselves, but that info. came from people who's opinions I trust, and actually live down there.
