WhiteFace in January?
 

Going on a trip during the middle of January. Any idea what the conditions are usually like and what they will be this year? Any chance the slides will open?

I don't really feel like going all the way to VT for some good conditions.

Whiteface is COLD and BARE in January! unless we get a barrage of snowfalls in the next few weeks, which is very unlikely to happen, it'll just suck. The slides rarely open. When they do, it is after a decent snowfall ON an already established snowpack. I've been up there 3 times and been relatively disappointed each of the 3 times.
