So...
I haven't been to Wintergreen before but just like any east coast resort, it's probably pretty tiny. But there's the possibility of 6-10'' of snow falling tonight and I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth the 3 hour drive to ride all day tomorrow. The recent mild heat spike that happened just this past 2 weeks or so along the east coast really hit them hard and as of today, they only have 3 lifts running to service 6 trails. 3 hours is definitely not worth the trip for such a small selection of trails, but i'm wondering if they'll open up a bunch more tomorrow given the possible snowfall tonight. Problem is, I have to make the decision to drive over there tonight prior to knowing for sure what the slope report is going to look like tomororw. What do you think? Think it's worth the gamble? |

I was actually at 7 springs last week. I'm in Maryland and a drive to 7 springs for me is would be about 5 hours. Also, the storm that's carrying the snow isn't expected to hit that area as hard and the conditions at 7 springs last weekend were really terrible.
