Default TORONTO, first time snowboarding!

hey guys,
i will be in Toronto in a few weeks and would really love to have a go at snowboarding, can anyone recommend a spot around the Toronto area where i would be able to get a couple of days first time tuition and then a few days on some simple easy slopes, i will be be on my own so somewhere with some cheap accommodation near by would be ideal, so far i have only been able to find large expense family resorts. if anyone can provide any info it would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Define "around the Toronto area" How far are you willing to drive? Do you have a vehicle at your disposal? Please provide a bit more detail and I can make some suggestions.

Given you do not have wheels, your best two options are:

Day Trip: Mount St. Louis Moonstone

Bus Transportation

You can get to Yorkdale very easily via TTC Subway.
There is no hillside accommodation at Moonstone.

Overnight: Blue Mountain

Greyhound.ca | Ski Specials - Ontario

Again, you will need to get to Yorkdale. There is a number of places to stay right at the hill at Blue.
