were heading out early march
we will stay at the north for a niight what is squaw valley like? awe will be at south lake for a few days so will go to heavenly and kirkwood would it be worth doing kirkwood on a saturday/sunday to avoid crowds at heavenly? |

Squaw is good, but gets crowded. Alpine Meadows is a good alternative, but you kinda have to hit Squaw. Just get up to the top and away from the main crowds. Kirkwood is always worth it! From the top of chair 6, skate to the left and enjoy the cornice access. The wall is fun, but gets beat-up something crazy. Also, chair 4 out back has some fun silliness. The crowds will be there, too, just not as bad as Heavenly.
