Zell am See at New Years 2013/14

Hi Boarders and Skiers!

Anyone on here has ever been in Zell am See at New Years eve?
I'm going there for 7 days of snowboarding with my girlfriend. It was supposed to be a trip along with some friends and their girls too but they just couldn't decide whether to go or not so we just booked ourself a trip down there.

If anyone has ever been there during that time of the year and you have some recommendation maybe then let me know please. I would love to get any review

I have been snowboarding a couple of times but never down southern Europe (I'm from Denmark), only in Sweden and Norway so I'm really looking forward to try a bigger resort.

I've ridden there over Thanksgiving. The bottom section of the run that leads to the top of the gondola gets moguly in the afternoon. aside from that its a pretty nice place. I have yet to go all the way to the top of the glacier though. It looks like they were building a park both times i was there. You might also want to look at some other resorts in the area so you aren't on the same snow for a week. I'm not saying the glacier is a bad spot, but there might be something close by that is also good.

The resort is pretty nice. i have no idea what the snow is like in that time of year. It appears that you can ride all the way from the top into town, but i'm completely guessing on that detail.
