Thanksgiving Day 2013

So I just moved to CO a few months ago and need some advice on Thanksgiving DAY riding...

First, I know A-basin is open (from a friend working there), but are the other big resorts open too? I cant seem to find any info on holiday riding anywhere...

And how are the crowds on Thanksgiving Day? My buddy and I have no family out here (and this is our first season in CO) so we are looking to shred, but definitely dont want to be sitting in long lift lines... If the I-70 slopes are hell, we'll probably just head south...

And if anyone is already planning on riding that day, let me know where! We are open to suggestions.

Unless it absolutely nukes, it is usually not very crowded that weekend. There is an uptick in people in and around the area for sure. The junk show portion of the season traditionally starts right before Christmas and goes through March.

Of course as mentioned, lots of snow can change that dynamic. People find a way to get out if they think it is going to be a huge powder day.
