Season pass and beginner lesson recommendations for Colorado

Hi all,

We're moving to Denver from the UK in about 3 months' time, and we're looking for some season pass and beginner lesson recommendations from the locals. :)

My sister has just moved to Denver this weekend and is interested in learning to board once we arrive. What resorts (or specific instructors) would you recommend for good beginner lessons that will also have terrain for intermediate riders like us?

We are looking at the Epic Pass as it seems like a good value, but we'd also be spending days at Loveland etc, so we're looking for some opinions on that as well.

Cheers,
Kristi

Epic is the best value, but the worst instructors are at the Vail owned resorts minus A Basin. I would check Groupon to see if A basin or Loveland is doing discounts on learn to ride programs.

Thanks for the input, we'll have to keep an eye on Groupon closer to the time. I had a quick look now but didn't see any lessons - I assume they won't start showing up until the resorts open.

You can buy 3 lessons from Loveland for a little over $300 I think and it includes a season pass, it called 3-Class Pass

If you do that I recommend Jacob Levy.

Yea teh lessons program with a pass at LUV are a steal.

Then further lessons are even discounted cuz now ur rockin a season pass.

Thanks for the replies guys, the Loveland 3-class-pass seems like a fantastic deal for the sister in law. It's cheaper than a regular pass.

Grabbing a loveland pass and an Epic pass may be a bit overkill for the wife and I, but it's still cheaper than 6 months riding indoors in the UK or 1 week in Courchevel! Maybe we could grab Loveland 4 packs or something... How long we got till they stop doing season passes/4 packs?

Cheers for the tip on a good instructor too, reckon we'll look into some private lessons early on to fine tune our technique and make the season even better for us.

Can't freaking wait...

i think 4-paks at loveland are available until 11/23 and if you go to one of the sales events around Denver they are only $119. I have an epic pass and I am debating weather to go with 2 4-paks or a season pass at loveland since all my friends go there.

4 Pack is the way to go and I believe this weekend at the Christy's Sale in downtown Denver they're selling them for $119 as JJB mentioned.

also not that they pay me or anything i'm just a local snowslut, but the luv pass gets you days at other mountains which is a super fun deal with a little driving.

my 3-5 best buds do an annual to monarch that has been epic the last 2 years. (admittedly 2/2)
