Lame, sorry to hear about the job loss. Architectural work is tough around here. I have one friend who has been in that line of work for years. She hasn't found anything for over a year. Of course she is a very high level Architect, so she's over qualified for many positions. If I hear of anything I'll pass it along.
try broadening your search. instead of just Architecture firms look at the industries that utilize those firms and architecture in general. Construction, engineering, etc. good luck man, sorry about the impending job loss.
i have a 2 year degree in architecture and i work for a natural gas piping company. i used to draw houses and small comercial stuff but the economy changed my field. i dont even do the cad stuff anymore but i really dont miss it since i do get paid quite a bit more then the cad person. i only wish this job was in colorado not nebraska.
Sorry to hear that man. I am thinking very heavily about selling all my shit, packing up and moving to Colorado springs area. Seeing as I need a new place to live anyways, I have always wanted to move to CO. Hows the job market down their? I will have my AS in web graphic design in a few months, but dont really care what I do for work.
