Denver is having its usual bi-polar weather patterns this time of year, but as of this weekend, the mountains winter weather is in full swing! Have a look!

It's nuking outside my place in Breck right now. Supposedly 22 inches is coming in, if it does I'm hiking.

I saw that they are saying around 2 feet at the passes. It's definitely going to be good at some of the early season spots this week. Tomorrow should be prime.

Just a reminder though. If it's deep enough to ride it's deep enough to slide. Don't let your guard down. This is the time of year that people get carried into nasty shit, like rocks and trees. Should be plenty of safe stuff do regardless though.

"CDOT is advising people not to travel to the high country unless absolutely necessary"

.....Boarding is absolutely necessary!

I was elk hunting this weekend at around 11,500' and we were getting pounded! Made me want my board to ride out of where we hiked in...very soon. This will be the season I learn back country.
