Arapahoe Basin Snow Report & Ski Weather Forecast - Snowforecast.com
Long range forecast / discussion...November 03 to 06
--The 3 to 5 days of sun and milder temperatures may have been wishful thinking, as after the Tuesday/ Wednesday snowstorm, the pattern continues active (maybe a 24-48 hour sunny break between storms) with Gulf of Alaska low pressure, as a major trough sets up across the western US and starts sending some stronger winter storms through, with more possibly heavy snow. The large-scale trough axis may set up across the west coast this time, with storms losing some of their strength as they push in toward Colorado, but they could be strong enough to begin with to remain quite significant as they cross Colorado. We will watch and update, plus add more detail as it becomes available. Early November is starting to look relentless, cold and snowy all across the west. By mid-November we may see a break from the action out west.
