I will be out there on December 2-4 with a few buddies. As of today and/or the near term forecast, which mountain do you recommend we hit in regards to how much snow it currently has. Thanks!
I will be hitting SLC throughout this season for business so will tack on an extra day to board each time
What kind of riding do you do/looking to get out of a resort? Park/Powder/Steeps/Chutes/Bowls/Trees/Cliffs?
There are a lot of choices in SLC/Utah. Each offering something different.
But be aware, that no matter where you go in the US/CA december 3rd is very early in the ski season, so a lot of places wont have speculator coverage. But UT/CO/PNW will have more than most.
Sorry I didn't clarify. I was looking for the mountain that had the most snow currently. I ride everything. However these days less park and more all mountain/steeps/trees etc.
Last season I was up in SLC a few times and hit Park City, Canyons, Solitude, Snowbird. Great place to board...so many choices!
If you're concerned about snow wait until you get here and play it by ear on who has the most open. Right now coverage isn't very good. That can change though pending on storms.
Snowbird is by far the rockiest place in the cottonwoods. Currently you can't really haul ass off piste there without having to worry of rocks luring underneath the snow and breaking you off good. Of course that might change once he gets out here.
