Going to Vail - Any discounted lift tickets?

I am going to Vail with a group of 13-14 people in the end of January. We already booked our flights and a house. We will be riding for 6 days so lift tickets are going to be $$$. Are there any hook ups for large groups of people? May be some locals can get a discount and of course will be rewarded for the effort with money or poison of their choice

6 days of riding?

It's worth it to get the EPIC Local pass, for around $500.

Gives you 10 days at either Vail or Beaver Creek, and unlimited riding at Breck/Keystone/A-basin.

It is actually cheaper to buy that pass than to buy 6 individual tickets at Vail (which are over $100 a day).

Just make sure there are no black out dates (I don't believe there are?).

Also, I think you get a certain amount of "buddy passes" which give you a discount to buy your friends lift tickets if you buy a season pass.

I believe there are black out dates with the Epic Local pass for the 10 days at Vail or Beaver Creek. Generally it's over the Holiday weekends. That pass has always had them before, so I am sure they are still there.

You might just want to go all in and buy the regular epic pass and plan an extra trip to Colorado or Tahoe.

Our trip is in the end of January and 6 tickets online come out to $480. Epic 7 Day pass is only $40 and gives access to more mountains... I have never been out to the West before and I dont think I'll be able to afford another trip this year

Yeah looks like EPIC pass cut off was yesterday. Are there any locals who work at shops who can get discounted tickets? As you can imagine, if you make few dollars off each pass multiplied by 14 - its gonna add up.

I have a friend that works as a baggage handler for some airline ( I forget which one) in Chicago. He gets massively discounted lift tickets for himself and one or two friends at the Vail family of resorts. So if you have any friends that work for an airline invite them along. lol Long shot, I know. Another option is if you know anyone with an Epic or Epic Local pass already, they get 6 ( I think) 'ski with a buddy' discounts loaded onto their pass that are good for about a 20 dollar discount each. Unless you are working at or somehow connected with someone at Vail resorts there are not too many other option that I am aware of for getting a discounted ticket.

United. Based in Chicago. My buddy used to work for them too...still has the badge to get friends discounted lift tickets (Better discount that even the EPIC pass buddy pass deal).

Try finding someone with a United badge... think you could buy one on eBay?

I think his discounted tickets were around $56 or so. Half off isn't bad.
