Telluride Mid-feburary/ Wolf Creek?...
I have a trip planned to Colorado in mid February and I’m getting a little worried about the snow or rather lack thereof. Has anyone heard an extended weather forecast and whether the current weather pattern of little to no snow will let up in the next couple weeks? I’ll be spending a week in Telluride and I don’t want to spend too much time on the groomed runs. I’d like to get off piste and play in some deep stuff. From what I’ve seen the best conditions are in Wolf Creek. Would it be worth renting a car for the four hour drive to hit up Wolf Creek for a day or two?

There really isn't any snow in the forecast anywhere in Colorado.

This winter has sucked major balls. We went up to Snowshoe, WV for the week between Christmas and New Years and they only had 3 lifts open. Disappointing to say the least. Might want to plan a trip to Whistler instead. :D

Had to book the trip to Colorado in August and it's too late to get my money back so I'm shit out of luck for good boarding this year. I doubt I'll have the cash to get up to Canda this season :(

Bummer man. Southern Colorado was doing great up until about two weeks ago. Now it's almost nothing but sunshine forecasted for that region.

If your idea of riding deep stuff is crusty frozen pow then Wolf Creek has plenty of it. Other than that you're stuck to the groomers. Which I don't think they groom all of them.
