Default Tow Rope Terrain Park near Boulder CO

I have had this idea I have been working on of making a rail terrain park near Boulder Colorado. It would be on a few acres of land and be serviced by a rope tow. I believe it would be the first terrain park in Colorado that has a rope tow. I moved to Summit County to work at Keystone and Copper. The parks are amazing but I miss having a dope park with a rope tow in it. I use to ride at Powder Ridge in Minnesota and all though small, there park is as fun if not more fun then all the parks out here because they have a tow rope. The volcom PBJ and Transworld trans am both stop there. Also it is were Dan Brisse learned to shred. Tow ropes are part of the reason why Ryan Paul, Joe Sexton, Eathan Diess and Jake O.E shred so hard. I just want peoples thoughts if I made a sick rail park with lights would people from Colorado come? Having a rope tow you can get 20x more hits then a park with out a rope tow. I would think the people of Boulder and especially college kids would love having a park with in 20 miles of them especially one were you never have to ride a chair lift. Your thoughts?

I ride at elm creek in mn and I can say it's slightly better then powder due to there been twice as many jibs but these parks are amazing you easily get 100 laps a day or damn lot and the mood is just so chill since the hill is smaller its hard to lose friends and if setup right you get random sessions were a bunch of people will just start throwing down on the same object whil people also just chill next to it and watch it's why Us minnesotans slay it on rails last years pbrj finals had ryan Paul and jesse Paul placing in open class (both mm riders but not related Ryan Paul from afton Jesse from elm)

they are building one of these (almost open, we just don't have any damn snow) in Lansing, MI. Google "Hawk Island snowboard park" for info.

If you build a good park, change up features, and keep the prices reasonable, people will shred it.

Nothing beats Brecks parks sorry. Good idea but might want to look into what went down with Kingvale before you attempt it. Also look at the opposition that Eclipse has to become a resort. There's a ton of back end shit other than slapping a rope tow in and some features and calling it done. Insurance, taxes, logistics, etc. etc. etc.

I'm surprised that Eclipse has failed with all the Coors money and influence behind it.

With that said, fuck the Coors family. They laid my wife off from Coors Tech a few years back after Michael got finished flailing around miserably with the Eclipse idea. Two weeks later, Michael had my wife's job. When the family started getting more and more involved in Coors Tech, I figured the sellout of the brewery was a done deal.

Is Eclipse officially done? I gave up following that a while ago.

Pretty sure it is. I think the Coors family entertained the idea for as long as they were willing amd finally told Michael to get a fucking job.

Ya, I have heard Elm Creek is the shit. As far as there being other things. I already know this. I am getting prices of insurance and trying to find land that would actually work. The national forrest already said no to one spot. Its a long battle but if it would open it would be all worth it.

If you get it built make sure to figure out some great things and a variety plus Mabey a couple unique features like a huge box or a butterbox that's shaped like a rollercoaster box but also try to find a few different companies to sponsor a couple rail jams and really get the name out that way and also focus on it being made by snowboarders for snowboarders by taking input from some of the riders on features and also keep the park well groomed I'm lucky at elm because almost all the park crew are the regulars like Jesse paul so as soon as something starts getting rutted someone's out there fixing it. I hope this all works out great
