Vail village or Lionshead?

Looking to book a trip to Vail, between 2 places in Vail Village & Lionshead. What's the main differences between the 2 sections? Also, which one has more options for a low level intermediate?
Thanks.

Vail village is bigger with more stuff around..... Only one lift unless you walk to golden peak.... My wife is not a great border and prefers coming down on the VV side.

lions head has the gondola which is nice on cold mornings.... There are some nice beginner runs that will take a newb 45 minutes to come down and a super newb 60 minutes.... The final decent in to lions head is apparently intimidating to people cause.... I don't know why really.... I guess it's a steeper green run than goes over a big ass bridge back to chair 8 and the gondola

My son and I always go to lions head to start and finish the day.....

Thanks. I noticed on the trail map that the green turns into a black at the bottom in lionshead. Was wondering about that. Thinking I will avoid that run :)

You should also notice the green off of the right of those trails to avoid the black.... Bwana loop and lions way are a couple of them....

I have stayed in both areas. You cannot go wrong either way. Plenty of food, shops and things to do in both areas.
