Would Breck/A-Basin be worth the drive

I was planning on heading out to CO to hit up Breck and A-Basin from the 23rd to the 30th of this month. I was thinking I would drive because the whole flying experience doesn't work for me, and I live in WI. The more I look at the weather and the forecast though, the more I'm tempted to just say fuck it and wait for a better winter. What are the conditions like out there right now? Because my gut says shitty and I don't want to drive halfway across the if I'm going to be riding in slush.

I saw somewhere Breck is supposed to close on the 30th, I'd be willing to skip Breck and try someplace I haven't been, but I'm going with someone who wouldn't want to make the trip if that got nixed.

Any feedback would be great!!!

Closing day is April 15th. Breckenridge & Colorado Events | Breckenridge.com It's hard to tell what the weather will be like or how much snow will fall between now and your trip date. It's a low snow year but conditions shouldn't be too bad, maybe even powder (March is supposed to be the snowiest month). Either way, conditions will be better and a tom more stuff open than there was around Christmas time earlier this season.

The conditions right now are shitty as fuck.

We have some snow in the forecast, but the persistent high pressure ridging that has kept us hot and dry is forecast to be back after just a few days.

There is a chance you score pow, but its not looking good.

Nobody knows whats going to happen in 2 weeks, but right now it is shitty.

depends how desperate you are, I personally prefer A basin over brek. Better crowd
the snow right now is disappearing fast, its like 50s in the mountains. like snowklinger said who knows what we'll get next week. its supposed to the snowiest month.

I still plan on going, but it's looking like I'm just flat shit outta luck on any new snow for this trip. At least I had one trip this year where I had a week of good snow/powder so I guess I'll just take what I can get now. The gods of the white shit better be fucking generous next year though.

Honestly dude, I wouldn't even bother. Hell, I haven't rode in almost 3 weeks and I'm only about 45 minutes away.

Conditions are teh suck right now and the 7-10 day forecast looks like shit. This is likely going to be the worst March on record and we're on pace for one of the worst seasons on record. Thankfully February was decent, but that was it.

I plan to get out there this weekend, because after all this warm weather, the corn harvest should be decent.

Talk about deflating.

I don't care...just booked a condo(31st-4th) in Silverthorne and pulled the trigger on a 3 day pass for A-Basin. I can't end the winter with the 2 fucking days on ice and slush I've had so far. Honestly I could care less if the conditions aren't good as long as there is some snow/ice/slush to ride. I'm used to riding crap so it's all good

My son is still out riding every day..... He isn't complaining....

Can you get your gimpy ass patched up and back on a board already so that we can quit hearing this shit of "my son this..." and "my son that..." every other post?

Sorry man, this season has me in a really shitty mood. :p
