Default EPIC Resorts in Colorado - What's best?

Looks like Keystone is already closed. Beaver Creek only 24% open. Vail only 12% open. Which of the other 4 are in the best condition for this weekend? Looking for anyone who has ridden any of the Vail resorts recently, to give a report.

Supposedly a couple of these resorts might see a little new snow (A-Basin may get up 3-5" on Sunday, and a few inches Saturday), but they only have like 33% of their terrain open.

Breck showing that they have around 65% of their terrain open, but not expected to get much snow this weekend.

Just trying to make the most of the end of this dismal season.... anyone been out lately?

Yea the only EPIC resort expected to get much from this coming storm is A-Basin, but they only have about a quarter of their entire acreage open (which isn't much).

Breck has a lot more acreage open, but isn't expected to get much snow.

I guess the purpose of this thread was to ask if anyone has been out riding lately, what the conditions were like (more detailed than "shitty", if possible), where any good spots are, etc.

BurtonAvenger (if you read this) - I think I'm gonna head to Breck on Saturday. According to their website, Peak 10 is about half open. Is it worth it to head over that way?

Was just at Breck last weekend and hiked around Keystone for closing day. Breck was fun, Peak 7 was in decent condition. Rode 10, it had enough to rip. Park Lane is open of course. The North side of 9 under E chair is unrideable. I had fun but that's because I can ride anything for fun. It is typical late spring corn and taters.

Open snow has a pretty decent powder day in the forecast for Sunday. 3-5 Saturday night and then again for Sunday at the Basin.

Here is the rub, it looks like Saturday, you might be lucky to get above freezing, with little to no snow at all. Since there is a storm coming in late that afternoon/night, it is probably going to be windy. Sounds like dust on crust at best, icy chunder at worst. If I were you, I'd skip Saturday and just go Sunday. That's me though, but don't say I didn't warn ya...

Yea I always use open snow, that is where I was getting the "A-basin should have more snow than Breck" comments in the original post.

Your 2nd paragraph is what has me worried. I haven't rode since March 3rd and I need to get out there at least one more time (hopefully a couple) before the season is done. I am completely free Saturday so I'm pretty set on going somewhere, even if it does suck. I might still try to go Sunday as well. I'm hoping that it isn't icy chunder like you stated, but I guess I'm trying to find out what place will suck the least on Saturday.

Plus, you're a snow snob since you're always riding fresh at Bert or making trips to PNW. I moved here from MI, which is always "dust on crust" or actually, mostly just crust on crust.

If you're going Saturday and you ride any park, I'd just go to Breck. That way if it sucks, you can at least just lap the park. That's the safe play IMO.

It's true that I hunt for the "best" snow possible. Still, I do get out in most conditions. Storm cycles, high winds, sunny spring days. The only days I don't care to ride is the dust on crust, icy chunder, frozen crud, spring days. It just isn't much fun. Argo's post about it snowing now, gives some hope though. The good news is at this time of year the snow comes in wetter and heavier than in January. 2-4" of new snow will ride a lot softer than the same amount would have in January. It is quite surprising, but it happens just about every year. I've had days at Bert where I would have sworn the 4" I was riding was more like 10. There is some hope...
