lame because of how crowded it is or because of the event?

I thought the beach tour in Ocean City was pretty cool, but it was just something to do. We just happened to be on vacation up in MD the week it was going on and didn't plan our trip around it.

Just curious.

Everything about it is lame, just tons of people walking around looking for free shit.

yeah that side of it was lame in MD too. We had fun just hanging out watching the guys ride, but it did seem like most people only wanted free stickers or other crap and didn't care about the athletes. There were a ton of stupid ass tents handing out free stuff from the national reserve and shit like that though which was lame.

dogfunk.com was peddling shit there too along with Mountain Dew handing out free samples of all their funky ass off-cuff flavors. But, they did totally redeem themselves when they started handing out free slushies on day two...

Shit man, I meant the national guard. And, not that they're lame, just don't like them trying to get people to sign up for the guard reserve by giving them free stuff at an extreme sports event.

Good idea, wish I would have thought about that while I was there.

I drove over to it on Thursday and Friday last year and thought it was cool to see. Wasn't too crowded those days but I'm sure sat and sun are packed.... We boarded down and hung out to watch slope right at the tuen of the course as well as at the base of the pipe. The majority of the pro riders are cool as hell, my son has known or been acquainted with a bunch of them ov the past 4 years and they all remember his name and come and say what's up.... Dunno if you have kids but figured I'd throw that out there.

The slopes were no more crowded than any other weekend we spent there. The parks will be slammed though like BA said....

If your up for the trek, vail will be having a bunch of shit going on too for their 50th anny that week.

Normally my trips out there consist of, Ride all day, go to the house, get drunk, grill grub, and soak in the hot tub, rinse, repeat. Since the GF is going I spose I will have to do some touristy shit. Vail sounds fun, probably check out the contests on the weekdays and then hit vail for the weekend. Does Summit stage run to Vail? I've never been there, any must see's or must do's?
