Denver suburbs locals! I need some advice - Page 7 - Snowboarding Forum

I finally had to head to Denver last weekend on Sunday afternoon to drop a friend at the airport. Fuck that I70 shit. I'm just happy that I was fortunate to have a good job up here and not have to commute to the mtns. I would not do it.

I work 3-11p and my job is About 100 yards walking distance from the base of lions head gondola.

Is there year round jobs to be had out there? I'd move to vail in a heartbeat if I knew i could land some kind of work

I'm a nurse. There are year round jobs up here. There is a year round community here too. The year round people are pretty chill. The second home owners and vacationers are typically the ones that give vail a bad name for being snooty. Eagle-vail, Edwards, Avon and minturn all have lots of year round people too and year round jobs.

Any good places to look for jobs in that area? Craigslist not really offering much.

Right now im just doing a jack of all trades job at a software reseller in boulder. Its a small company. Customer service, chargebacks, fraud department, LOL I do it all here

Degree is in music recording so that pretty much out the window....

I'd basically take anything if it was decent paying.

How many jobs are there in Littleton? not that many, especially per capita. I know, I looked in the metro area daily for a long time. How many drug addicts in Littleton compared to Clear Creek? Probably 10 times as many, especially if you consider the housewife that hurt her back and takes pain pills and xanax for the rest of her life....

Whoa man! I wasn't ganging on you, and its cool that you like CJ's, alot of people do - some I even call friends!

I was just throwing out the stereotype for Clear Creek and Idaho Springs, its just a stereotype, its like the one of Colfax.

I think they got a younger crowd over there too, I'm 36 and on the young side for our bar - which has its own detractions for sure - a rabid cougar infestation being the main issue lol ....depending who you are....

Haha typical the Jeep broke down on you...i drive an '04 grand cherokee laredo and Im definately not towing anything with it haha, the V6 cant handle it!

We are getting like a 20' uhaul truck that someone else is going to drive while we drive our own cars.

We will be out there by January 1st at the latest but hoping to be out there ASAP after Christmas day...just depends on how shady the weather is and if we will be able to move into the new place a couple days early.

I forget what part my friend is from but I know his Mom is a Gator so im assuming somewhere around Gainesville?

Did you have any issues finding a place since you were moving out of state?? Ive noticed a couple places say no out of state applicants or that they have to have a minimum income if they are?

Do you guys think living on the Westside of Lakewood will help me skip some of the traffic coming from Denver on the 70? As opposed to living in Denver?
Im speaking mostly weekdays since that mostly when ill be riding but would be nice to know for weekends too...
