I'd just like to come in with a shred of good news. I cover agriculture for my job and at a trade show last week I attended a presentation by the top business weather forecasting firm. They are saying that it's going to be a mild beginning and end to the season, but that late December through February is going to be very intense with a lot of storm activity coming to the Rockies and elsewhere. Here's hoping they're right. Won't help me much, I've already got a trip booked to Summit County Dec. 26-Jan. 2, but I'm hoping I can at least catch the beginning of the turnaround in weather.

well changed my flight and lodging last night to Tahoe for my trip on Dec 15-22. Was going to Beaver Creek/Vail but unforunetly the weather isnt cooperating. I'm sure the local businesses are really starting to feel the pinch. Hopefully things improve for my family trip the last week of January to BC.

2 inches at my place, it was enough to warrant plowing the road and parking lot.

I am not sure that I'll be able to make it out west this season (no $$$), except maybe for a bachelor party in April.... but it sucks seeing how little snow is on the ground out west.
I'm not sure if it is global warming or just a strange climate cycle, but we've been in the mid 60's here in Atlanta for much of the past 10 days. It is supposed to get up to 73 today. It was 48 when I rode the bike in to work. Great for jogging, but makes it hard to dress for an entire day out. (25 degree swing, wtf?)

Anyone been up to the Basin lately? If so how was it? I'll be there a week from Thurs. Looks awful on the cams, and nothing really good open. Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time on the kiddie runs with my GF, oh well maybe I'll learn butters or ride switch a lot
At least the Dew tour is there, so it won't be a complete wash. Already planning another trip, late Feb. early March.

![]() I know that WA and CA have gotten at least one dumping apiece... the cams for jackson show them blowing snow and the report for snowbird shows a 31" depth on the top and nothing mid or lower mountain. Better than last year, but still seems too low to call it getting 'hammered'

Well today was probably the best day of the season.
