I'll be up at Loveland tomorrow. They are calling for 100% chance of snow tonight and 90% for tomorrow on their website, although I'm not sure how accurate that really is. I usually just look at traffic cam pics ate Eisenhower and make my own assessment from there.
Agreed, I'm just quoting what they said. If I wake up and it says they didn't get much or any and it's not snowing I may just stay home honestly. There are plenty of chores to be done around the house that don't need to be put off for riding the crud
Monarch ROCKS. It really does. Looking towards moving to Pagosa in the next couple years.... working on it. I lived there for a few years a while back and it was awesome.
The Crustasaurus was lurking in spots and I drilled a tree with my back. Still a solid day if you knew where to go. Even the Dewsh Tour crowd wasn't bad.
Dewsh Tour crowd wouldn't be caught dead at Loveland so you're safe. Most of them just lurked in the base area getting free samples. Powder riding is hard and evidently the only thing they know about it is Travis Rice movies.
Gonna head to monarch tomorrow for the hell of it since a couple friends are taking the day off. Should be a good one, although I'm not too picky either way.
O.M.G.
As I said... soooo absolutely bottomless jealous!
Haha, so much fun to whatch, thanks, made for a huge grin, saved my day and keeps me reminded why I stare at the forecast every day.
Have fun! Can't wait to visit your area. Looks awsome!
Tho... one thing: "visibility is great"??? Great as in great?!? Seriously? That's flat light in my books! Dang, I need to get some kind of night vision goggles for that trip...
Ok, I think I remember seeing him then, just didnt recongnize him from the photos you have posted before.
Today was still pretty good, low crowds and was able to find some spots that still had some untouched. I kinda wish I went to BC today though as they were opening Grouse but by the time I woke up and found out it was opening it was too late to head over.
most runs with a black diamond on Mary Jane will be moguls. There is no specific sign that will tell you this, just the trail rating sign. Don't go down Outhouse for sure...
sometimes the Mary Jane run proper is groomed, but no guarantees. Most of the MJ stuff is not groomed.
if you stick near the Olympia lift, you will be fine
