Too late!! You guys have already broken the first rule of FC! Now,..? Everyone wants to be you guys, ride with you guys, in all that awesome snow! Too late to try and send us elsewhere! Lol.
It was really nice until everyone showed up. I got about 6 chairs in and found the crowd..... headed to work now. here is a screen shot from today.. I am trying to get used to riding with a camera on a stick, it gives me a happy back arm.....
I will give you a tip for shooting with a pole and go pro. Shoot on a 45 degree angle and shoot from the back and to the side (30 degrees off the tail) and downward. You will get ur board, u and the snow in the frame. If you want towards some parts to get good pow slashes rotate the camera to the front for a few then back.
So your back arm holding the pole is the bottom leg to the (ur board is the straight line): K
Here is my buddies report...... pow was definitely great today, the line on chair 5 was like 30 minutes, I snaked my way through to the front and made it in 15 but that is about as long as lines get here.......
I just got back from the Eisman hut North of Vail. Ridiculous amount of snow up there. That spot basically gets double what Vail does. Pita to get there, but if you are booking an early season hut trip, this is the spot.
I just finished my AIRE level 1 class this weekend in RMNP. Was windy and bare to start with, but ended up snowing and pretty nice on Sunday. First weekend on the new splitboard, hate trying to ski down on it through the trees in tour mode (was with skiers, not steep enough to convert to board mode).
Then went to Copper on Monday, Superbee was broken in the morning.. that sucked.
OBVIOUSLY the time I choose to come to Colorado it looks like its gonna be dry......just can't win. Does the weather change within a day there or so for storms or what not?
Of course it dumps feet on feet while I'm back east. Oh well, that's alright. At least it'll be fully game on in terms of terrain open by the time I get back.
Lol........love it, at least the terrain will be good by the time I arrive and ride on Wednesday.
Quick questions I waxed my board tonight with a Cold Temp wax since its suppose to be pretty cold when I am there next week. I am only riding for 4 days, my wax job should last right?
I have never done a wax job with cold temp wax before.
I think you'll survive. All temp wax would have been a better bet though. If it's that much of a concern why don't you just pack your waxing equipment or bone up the entire 20 bucks it takes to get your board waxed if it needs it? :wavetowel2:
If you go to Ski Broker in Fraser they did a good job on my buddy's skis and were very friendly. If you end up needing a wax that's out there.
I used OneBall F1 all temp wax and it lasted about 3 days last trip.
