As far as what they are doing, not really going to do anything. Vail won, you now have to pay to use your public lands.
You are paying to ride the lift (I know you know this but just wanted to mention it.) The land is still public so you can hike it all you want.

Except it's a lie. Where do you suppose the electricity comes from?

This. Also do we need to go into how bad the chemicals that they put into solar panels are? And how much energy is used to make wind turbines? I mean if we actually cared about the environment we would all go drown ourselves in the ocean.

No you can't. Some areas allow uphill travel sure. Most don't. Breckenridge I believe only allows uphill travel before and after the lifts close. In fact most areas are this way. Which I don't have a huge problem with as with that many people using a resort you are talking about a serious hazard with uphill travel.

So it is not a hike all you want scenario.

Lol. Yep. The worst thing on the environment is humans. Not a little peak in the middle of the Rockies.

Are you talking about electric cars? Like I said, they're shit. If you're referring to power in general, there are cleaner sources of energy than the coal plants we mainly use. That's really not up for debate.

The problem is the manufacturing processess that produce the products that provide and convert clean energy into a usuable energy.

I stand corrected if this is the case.

It's not perfected, but as the demand for clean energy increases the production techniques improve as well. Plus, you gotta factor in that those manufacturing processes wastes include the electricity used, which comes from coal... Should we have stuck with steam engines because gasoline power would draw too many resources to develop?

I agree that there is a lot of empty marketing and racket coming from the green movement. But there are also a lot of legit ideas and minds behind it.

Not what I'm saying at all. I support the research and progress they've made. Just not the marketing.
