But the best yarn store in the state is in Frisco, so it's a wash .

My 5 year plan is to hit the lotto so I can take a helicopter to the mountains and cut out I-70 entirely. Until then, I'll just keep driving to the mountains at 6am and leaving by 1pm. The traffic honestly isn't that bad if you adhere to that schedule, even during spring break.

I can't see CDOT doing anything to drastically reduce the traffic in my life time. A more likely scenario would be Utah changing their absurd liquor laws, and me just moving there and snowboarding every Sunday with the mountain to myself while all the momos are at church.

If I-70 traffic keeps people off the mountain, than that's fine by me. I have no problem leaving the house at 5:45 or 6 in the morning. As long as you're smart about when and where you travel it's not that bad. I had about 100 days on the mountain last year and weekend traffic never delayed me by more than 30 minutes.

If I-70 is too much of a cluster f@*k for you, then stay home.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Think crowds are bad now? Just wait till the I-70 problem is fixed.

I've never been stuck by weekend traffic either, but I'm also a man who loves to eat and drink after the mountain and that takes time, dammit!

#frontrangerproblems is the only thing that sums up all this bitching. I mean I hate all this bus traffic on my route to the mountain. I had to stand once last week! ONCE. Do these people not understand I must sit down on my 3 minute ride there, fucking assholes, not caring about my needs!

Question

Can you get into any trouble if a ski patrol sees you at the front range resorts drinking beers that you brought with you? I'm generally a flask guy, but I'm starting to get sick of my usual flask of liquor and wanted to spice it up with some Sante Fe Imperial Java Stouts.

When it comes to booze and weed on the mountain, pretty much just don't be an obnoxious jackass and you're fine. Lifties don't give a single fuck and patrol has other shit to worry about. Basically, don't start no shit, won't be no shit.
