I forgot to write anything here. I was in Colorado From Dec 25th to Jan 5th. and wow it was amazing. They had two snow storms during that time. I heard it was even too much snow for Colorado standards.
Driving up and down the I-70 can be pretty dangerous at times. Especially if you're going to Vail and passing Vail Summit Pass when it is snowing. I was stopped there several times for avalanche control. There usually are traffic on I-70 especially on the way back. Grades up and down, you can see so many cars broken on the shoulder. I even saw a Subaru Impreza WRX smokes coming out of his engine. It's a manual car prolly burned the clutch
i felt sorry for him since it's an expensive car. Right after that my stupid car (2013 ford focus) gave a transmission overheat signal. I had to stop for like 30 min.
One mistake I did while going to keystone is that I exited on 216(if i remember correctly) and it goes all the way up to the Loveland pass from there you go down to reach Keystone. And man driving up to Loveland pass and then down man it's scary. Especially I made a mistake on the very same day going back to my brothers house, I end up on the same way back, travelled up and down the Loveland pass around 5:30-6pm, I was really scared!!!! lol lesson learned. (especially driving up that stupid rental ford focus)
Actually I later learned that I didn't need to take that exit, If I would drive up some more, there were other exits that goes to Keystone.
I have been to all epic pass mountains, vail, beaver, arapahoe, keystone, breck, man they are all fricking amazing and make the mountains in the east a joke (fudge it even killington)
here's a picture of proving how much snow up there
breckrenridge, January 4th, Imperial Expressway lift, (imperial bowl) - I was only able to get there once, later in the same day they closed, or the other times I went to Breck Imperial was closed. Snow was up to my arse crack
