So I checked the project plan and the tunnel is supposed to be done by the end of the year. So ski traffic could actually be better. It is a two year project overall though. Summer is going to suck regardless.
Today is likely my last day for the season @ Keystone  If they have to cut hours at work Sunday I am going to Volunteer.
The Keystone Donut allowed for it to be sunny most of the day. The clouds moved in towards the end. They had all the parks open and everything was up. I had to ollie over some bare spots on some runs. It was chill and not crowded.
They will likely have the park completely set up on Sunday too. Taking the parks down early would be a PR nightmare. Imagine the facebook page. I think a lot of people are already upset about them canceling night riding for the last week. They should of atleast stayed open till 6.
Can't help but to notice on the 9th there is a high possibility for a big storm. KEYSTONE CURSE!!!!
I sure got lucky planning to take this Tuesday off. I was planning on getting some stuff done, but I can't pass up an April powder day. Especially if the temps are as cold as the predict. Potential blower pow in April? Oh hell yeah!
This does look like a storm that will treat spot like Loveland pretty nice. I put in for Wednesday off myself. Hoping for some sunshine and pow. Plus I just didn't want to de with the metro area shit show that tomorrow is going to be.
word first chair wed is where I'm at. nty on the metro->luv shitshow tomorow but lgorge I know it will be worth it and you'll be on it..
I've been pillaging so much fresh up there every day for the last month days and days after snow. yesterdays snow report was 1.5"?. don't tell anyone. there was nobody today and we lapped fresh knee deep turns off the top by ourselves just our lines. gonna post a bunch of pics when I stop riding 4+days a week....
Lgorge lemme know when ur next day up is we only got a month!
Yeah, I'd prefer to have Wednesday off as I prefer bluebird leftovers over storm day pow in general.
But, I ain't complaining. I'm gonna enjoy tomorrow! :yahoo:
If the regional VP wasn't coming into town Wednesday, I'd probably take a sick day. Too bad this storm wasn't rolling in a little later, maybe his flight would get cancelled.
Storm is coming in slower than they thought. Looks like it won't really get cranking until nearly dawn tomorrow and keep snowing until nearly midnight tomorrow. Tomorrow should be good, but Wednesday's really gonna be where it's at.
Yep, storm was pretty much a complete bust. Oh well, I'm already here I'm still gonna have fun.
Well, it looked like it was clearing up but now it's snowing hard again. Clearly upslope flow though. The snow is blowing in from almost due east. Summit may get skunked.
+1 on Bert. This morning there was 5-6" laying on the ground at the Second creek parking lot on BP while Mary Jane just had a dusting of snow on top of ice.
It's amazing the difference a couple miles can make in the mountains.
i'm here in northern NM by Taos, we got dumped on today, 5" here in the valley means at least twice as much in the mountains... supposed to be just the beginning and we get hit real hard tonight. all the mountains are closed though!
leaves it to hiking up and riding down, but i have no one to go with.
might just do some smaller hills on the bottom so i can go solo
Really good once again at Bert. Did the Alpine line tour once again. Evidently Floral Park was great today. Had a couple of friends who showed up late and lapped that most of the day.
Should be decent. We are in the drips and drabs sequence right now. A few inches just about every day. Something that we missed in November and January damn it...
