That is the newly ripped Chute 1.5 on the backside of Copper. Naturally triggered and ripped from out of bounds to in bounds.

Sad. Looks like a lot of work went into its construction.

Was that the one featured in the Inside Ed piece?

Yeah. That's the one. Someone showed the wrong person. There are a couple of big ones outside of resort Property here that are not well known and will Stay that way.

That's a hard picture to look at. All the time just destroyed in the blink of an eye

Kind of sad people care more about a shack than the fact an avalanche ripped in bounds and created a new run.

Speaking of that me and the girl both read about it in awe. We're big copper fans so seeing something like this in such close proximity hits home. We're both not very big in BC riding, I go once in awhile and she never does, but it just shows how this year is going and opens eyes.

I won't set foot in the BC right now until this settles down and even then I'll be playing it overly safe with lines. We'll be at copper next weekend and will def be looking at this first hand.

Thanks for the posting , BA.

Read that on your site earlier today. Crazy that it leveled 100 yr old trees and created a new run.

It's like how Hurricane Sandy changed the coastline of New Jersey; nature impacting its landscape so immensely is just astounding.
