Currently not enough hipsters riding fixies to support that hypothesis. But we're getting there.

I wouldn't know I don't go down the hill to Kansas, I mean Denver. That place is full of scary scary scary scary people.

Since taking my new job I haven't stepped foot into downtown Denver and I don't really plan on that changing. Hell, about the only time I get east of the Golden area these days is driving to the airport.

If my wife didn't work here in Evergreen, I would've already talked her into getting off of the Front Range entirely. As long as I'm within a reasonable drive of the airport I'm good as far as my job is concerned. I consider 3 hours or so to be "reasonable".

You know all people who lack any measurable skill are not completely the same right? The ones from KS are the ones NOT wearing ponies tall tees. Don't confuse me for a Texan either, I don't ride in jeans and they're the ones too loaded to load the lift... Yes the falling all looks the same, but I promise I'll get better this year, at least at falling, lol.

Anyway, I haven't been to Steamboat before and I'm thinking about going at least one day there... Definitely worth the drive from WP right?

All the same doesn't matter.

This is a weird storm for mid-summer. This is like a classic late spring upslope storm. Clouds flowing up my valley from the east just like they do when we get big wet snow dumps in April.

I haven't seen more than 20 minutes of sunshine in weeks up here. Can't really plan to do anything outside without fear of thunderstorms.

Yep, that's been the story of this summer. Get out early in the AM or just don't bother.

At least this storm has pretty much just been all rain, not dodging lightning bolts every 10 seconds or so.

A tree not more than 30 feet or so off of my porch got whacked recently.
