I was up on Friday at Breck and it was one of the best days of the year, we would get on the chair and it would start dumping snow and by the time we got off the sun would come back out just in time for our run ....free refills all day. Im not too happy about basically the biggest storm of the year happening today on Sunday and the last day of the season for most resorts

I refuse to deal with the I-70 clusterfuck even for a foot of pow.

The snow is great. Knee deep and creamy. Traffic was virtually nonexistent.

But, in the last half an hour or so the wind has really started howling dropping the visibility to near zero. It looked like it was going to clear up and be a beautiful day, then that good old Loveland wind threw a wrench in that plan.

Yep, I rode hard starting at about 8:15 and I was thoroughly cashed shortly after 1:00.

Very little traffic on the way back this afternoon too. Everyone that missed on today for fear of traffic really fucked up.

I will say though that it was absolutely brutal above treeline today at Loveland. Very cold with ridiculous wind and very little visibility. The trees were niiiiiiiiiiice though.

the forecast looks amazing. We are going to have epic skiing until close. With all the snow that has fallen in the last week and what is coming this week, it will take ski patrol days to get the ridge open....

Was 9 even open today?

Here is what china bowl and northwoods looked like today. I was one of 10-15 people that got to ride china today. they closed it almost immediately after we dropped in due to wind. This is right over the roll into dragons teeth......

Nope. It wouldn't have been even if they were able to do control work. The wind was just stupid up high.
