Just a mild warning. If you are thinking about hitting a sidecountry shot or lapping a pass, you had better know what you are doing. Snow was super reactive on Sunday. I got a few pockets to pop. Slabs were breaking two feet deep, you do not want to be a part of that. Stuff will stabilize in a couple of days, and conditions in the ski area are great. The CAIC is dead on with the avalanche danger rating right now.
Also, Harrison went big. This is in an area that a lot of it is considered a "safe" zone.
That is not survivable. Don't be that guy.

Yeah we do. Thays why we are here and enjoy it so much. Im originally from south texas.....
Work says I'm headed back that way for a few months this summer, You made a wise choice! I will say it is dirt cheap to live in Harlingen/Raymondville though.
Hopefully I can handle the ridiculous heat better this time around.. gonna bring my Mtn bike and golf clubs and use them everyday, if they don't get stolen...
