Hey guys which mountain (Keystone v breck) is better for a beginner. I've been to Breck but not to Keystone and keep hearing mixed things. I'm guessing there isn't a big difference but breck looks bigger so I assume it's busier.
Drove up vail pass this morning. Made a couple of sketch runs about 100 yards each. Drove down to some shit hole town 80 miles east of Denver to pick up a land rover for a friend and back home now. The west side of Eisenhower got a lot more snow than Loveland and vail got a lot more than summit From the looks of it.
Yeah, temps are just supposed to be in the 70's in Denver when it warms up. Which means it should be well below freezing at night at Loveland and Slapahoe. I am calling October 17th as opening day for one of those guys. It'll probably be earlier...
First week of dec.... Last year there were top to bottom trails but the whole mtn wasn't open. The year before it was wrod until late December. 2010/11 it was all open everywhere.
Storm was a bust here in Evergreen. Couple of inches at most and it's pretty much already melted off. Evidently the storm track shifted north and left us deprived of moisture.
Well, it's snowing in downtown Denver. Snow was not forecasted to to come down this low in elevation. Probably pretty awesome up a little higher right now.
