I know it's early, but damn, we need some snow.

Colorado | OpenSnow

That shit looks like a repeat of last season.

Keystone has been mad for winter break. I had about 4 people randomly merge right in front of me. At one time an entire family of 8 skiers all stopped right in front of me, blocking the entire intersection. WTF? There have been very large gatherings of gapers on the runs. Parking has been a bitch but I started taking the bus anyway.

I did not make it out today. It probably was quiet in the morning like Christmas morning. It's probably slammed now that people are getting over their hangovers. This week will be busy because a lot of people take their ski vacations now.

I totally forgot how annoying gapers are. There were not this many last season. The plus is area businesses are all very busy making lots of money. They need it!

*hint, Arapahoe Basin is quiet since they do not have much open. I parked in the main lot a few days ago. They are top to bottom and were running the Pali. They still just have the early season park set up.

There have been way more gapers and tourons this year than last so far. we have been super busy with people breaking themselves to pieces. Businesses are finally making their money along with the waitstaff. Two restaurants have put down record days. Snow has been ok over on this side of the pass.

keystone kills.

my buddy and I were lucky to get away with only a concussion and broken leg last year...

it's the capital city of snow tourons and carnies and the ski patrol wants to bust your ass!

a51 is pretty tight as long as you go there and just lap it.

I came up with one that I have not heard yet, due to the extreme increase of gapers on the hill the last two weeks. They do something I have been calling the "pizza slalom" down blue and black runs. They should really be on a learning slope still but insist that they are good enough to get down he expert run. We will be cruising down the run and low and behold they are zigzagging all the way across the mountain totally unpredictable.

I would take her to the Basin, not because they have the best beginner area. They have good beginner terrain but most of the mountain is more advanced. There should be less people at A-basin and this makes it better. Having people buzz by you or other beginners crossing paths is intimidating to noobs. Breckenridge and Keystone are both loaded with gapers.

They have a beginner hill at the base near the lot, The Molly Hogan lift services it. They have easy greens too. If you get there early enough you could get very close to that lift, set up a chair and crack open some cold ones while your girl learns.

I swear Ski Patrol at Keystone never bothers me, it's mountain watch you need to look out for. Recently I ollied the roller with the no jumping sign and looked to my right. A ski patroller was right there and saw it. She did not do anything. They normally don't give a shit, cause they are far to busy doing more important stuff.

Did anyone notice the yellow signs they put up near the park and Spring Dipper @ Keystone? It looks like someone with schizophrenia is running mountain safety. It's way overboard.

I find it funny the new people to the mountains are bitching about gapers and tourons. Good job guys tell me how "local" you are too!
 Because someone has to call it how they see it!

haha no doubt!

How cute you can copy and paste then quote something. You're a big kid now.
I hit it with some 'bold' action too for extra emphasis!

My butthurt is at record levels. I can't believe this shit is happening back to back seasons.

Gonna have to hook up with killclimbz to get in on one of those runs to Buffalo Pass cuz this shit is killin' me.

I think I'm gonna go bury my Charlie Slasher under a bunch of shit in the garage so I don't have to look at it and be teased by it.

Living in LA and seeing the overreactions has been hilarious. People bust out the scarves, gloves, and coats if its below 60. I'm taking my lady up to Mammoth for her first time riding this week, and she's a LA lifer and has NO cold clothes. I keep telling her you think this is cold, just wait til we get to Mammoth. Nothing like a little encouragement to suck it up

I just went for a walk at lunch and wore a beanie and glove, wool sweater and socks too...:dunno: I had to put my puffy on to walk to my car this morning :(
