I tried to contact them but no response yet. Also did a search but couldn't come up with a definitive answer. Are resorts like breck, copper, loveland etc.. open on christmas eve and christmas day? I'm planning a road trip there for this weekend but would hate to make the drive for nothing. Thanks in advance for any input!

All of the areas you mentioned are open Christmas Day. They are probably running early starts too. 8:30am versus 9am. In fact, I can't think of a single ski area in Colorado, or anywhere in the west for that matter that would be closed Christmas. This is big money making season for them right now.

Xmas is actually one of my favorite days of the year to go because it's never crowded and it seems like it's almost always a powder day in my experience
![]() Your mountain may differ but Loveland is always a great time on Xmas day. |

Speaking of holidays, will the summit/eagle county resorts be a shit show on new years day? I'll be gone over xmas, but was thinking about doing a day trip to A-Basin, Breck, or Vail on NYD since they're starting to open up some more of the good stuff. I've never been on an actual holiday, but I think it'd be packed as shit. Any long time local advice?
