hey everyone. i'm Christian in Raleigh, NC. i am loving being able to talk snowboarding while its 100 degrees outside (august sucks...but i sail). its hard not to lose focus and daydream of pow days past and those yet to come. i hope i can be of some help to those new to the snowboarding lifestyle and learn from those seasoned vets (or those geographically fortunate) amongst us.

The name is Jaqua (Jake-Way), and I'm 18.

Been snowboarding for about 6 years, but haven't advanced much 'cause I live in Western North Carolina where there's about 2-3 months a year cold enough for snow to exist.

Wink A grateful hello to all

My true name is Carmen. I am 45 years old and live in Central New York. As a kid I was a downhill racer and took up snowboarding about five years ago. Once I got into it I joined a community called snowboard.com and have been there for about three years now. Due to recent internal problems with that community it apparently has shut down leaving 1000's of members worldwide without a snowboarding home. many members work in the industry, have a vast experience in snowboarding and all love the sport. We have had many meets where people come together from all over to ride and get to know one another.

As much of a shame it is to leave some of the most dedicated snowboarders hanging empty, I really am looking forward to a new online snowboard community and I am sure others will follow in time. The benefit for us all will be many new credible members who really have alot of knowledge and love for snowboarding.

Me..I was known as the resident hippie if you will of the community. Im alot older than most but that never bothered me. Hell I can do a back country run and make it back to the lodge before all the younger ones in the group......It does help when your board is loaded with Grateful dead stickers and a trucker stops to give you a lift back to the lodge because he was a deadhead too.

Thanks for the opportunity guys and I look forward to having fun with new people and the other members from our old community once they find us in here.

Welcome aboard! When I was searching for snowboarding forums, this was the only one I could find. Not as active as some other forums I belong to, but I guess its busy enough.
Putting together a snowboard meet would be cool, I like the idea of that. Maybe this winter we can all work something out.

The last two years we pulled off successful 30+ meets via snowboard.com. One year in Utah and one in Colorado. At last check before sb.com checked out, we were trending towards Jackson this season.

Admins - Do yourself a BIG favor and delete the two accounts posted before me! They are communist spies sent by Fidel to infiltrate your site. Just look what happened to the last site they were prominent members of. Trust me - you will not regret it.

"Hi, my name is Carmen"... yea, right. Comrade
