my name is sarah, i'm 20 and from central jersey. i tried picking up snowboarding a few years ago, but didn't get a whole lot out of it because i had to learn on my own (you know, after those initial lessons) and only got to the mountain maybe once or twice a year, if at all. this past season i discovered a few friends from work enjoyed snowboarding or wanted to learn so we made a few trips up to blue mountain (and one really crappy trip to mountain creek). my boyfriend has been able to teach me to snowboard properly, and not just fall like a leaf down the mountain. i'm hoping by the start of this season i will have my first board. i want to work on my speed and maybe hit the terrain park by the end of the season :3 i'm glad i found an active forum on snowboarding, you guys can expect to hear from me!
