Default Planning a trip to Japan

Hey Guys,

Knowing a lot of you frequent Japan hoping someone can shed some insight as to where the places to hit are!

So far looking at mid-end February for a 2-3 week trip. Starting at Sapporo - Going to Rusutsu and Nikseko over the first week.
Then down to Tokyo for a few days to do the whole tourist thing and recover from boarding.
Then to Hakuba and Shiga Konsen to cap off for the last week.

Does this sound mildly ok?
Also looking for cheap accommodation if anyone knows where to look?

Thanks!

No. You are travelling too much in such a short time frame. Forget tokyo, you will just wish you were still riding.
Imo you should do Niseko, Rusutsu and sapporo teine if you really want to spend a day in Sapporo city blowing out.
If Tokyo is a must then forget Hokkaido and hit up Hakuba, Nozawa and myoko with a day or 2 in tokyo to finish up. If you go with this plan you might be able to hook up with dreampow and myself for a few turns ;-)

Travelling in japan sucks so keep it to a minimum.

Depends if you need steeps or not. You wont get many steeps in Hokkaido with the exception of Teine backbowls.
Honshu has the steeps.

What do you think for a first pass? Niseko has been recommended by some mates. Steeps wise, can go either way to be honest - really wanting to experience it firsthand. Tokyo I do personally want to visit even for a few days.

E: Thought you lived over the ditch in Aus?

Yeah, if you've never been to Tokyo before, then I reckon it's a must do!!!!!

Awesome place!!!!!

I do agree with too much in one visit though!!!!!

Just pick Honshu or Hokkaido!!!!! Those extra days of travel are just days you could be ridin or sake samplin!!!!!

Give niseko a go then.
I just spent the day walking around Tokyo Akihabara and Ginza regions. I would swap that for a day snowboarding every time lol.

I do live in AU but will be living in JP before next season;-)

This will probably be the option at this point. Ill look into those and see if any pique my interest . Tokyo will be a big one as this will be my first trip to Japan.

Season doesn't start for another 4 weeks here
