I'm losing my mind here in Japan waiting for the snow. I've been to Karuizawa Prince these last two Saturdays, but the man made snow is just depressing.
Can't wait for December!
Hollar at me if you live in Japan!
Lack of decent mexican or tex-mex is disappointing here. Indian food is literally everywhere, but no tacos, chili or burritos! (Ok so all of that is available in Hiroo, Azabu and all the rich foreigner areas, but never where you need it at midnight after a few drinks!)
There are 4 indian restaurants in the 10 minute walk from my home to the nearest station. I swear the newest opened one must have thought "there isnt another Indian for at least 50m! Nobody wants to walk 50m to get their Indian fix!" And now they stand outside their restaurant every day trying to get customers to come in (always empty)
South American, Proper Vietnamese, European that isnt Italian or French... These are all sadly rare in this country.
I would say damn you, but after typing that response i went out for indian myself hahaha
Now i have fulfilled my yearly quota of Indian food, i can continue the search for good burritos.
If you are down in Yokohama, there's an all-u-can-eat taco place in World Porters in Minato Mirai. Good freshly made tortillas, a choice of 4 or 5 taco fillings and a salsa bar to choose from......the only down side is that there is no guac, cheese or sour cream but its pretty decent.
I live down in Shonan and there is a good burrito place in Chigasaki a couple of block from the beach, Cafe Amigos. While the burritos aren't particularly big, they are bloody tasty......so you'll need to order 2
