Hi Guys,

I'm currently trying to book a room for 2 people in Niseko for Jan 31st to Feb 7th next year.

Looking at booking.com etc. it seems everything is booked out. I know its close to Chinese new year and all but is it all really booked out already or have they just not released it to the public yet?

I'd be grateful for any insight.

cheers.

A lot of places haven't set their rates yet, so it'll just show up as booked out!!!!!

Having said that, there's quite a few agents taking bookings already and doing early bird rates!!!!!

You'll also find it more successful to use email contact with property owners/agents as they will respond accordingly!!!!!

as Mizu Kuma said. Also Japanese travel agents only really start doing their thing about 3 months before......I have no idea why......so a lot won't be even advertising until much much MUCH later. That said, Niseko is a little differewnt in that it caters massively to the overseas market so they are a bit more western orientated. Do as Mizu suggested, email places directly.

I went with JAL this year (Jan) and they were excellent, I won't go into detail but they went right out of their way to help us out twice.

My flights with JAL for next year were $100 AUD less expensive than this year and I have 2 extra flights since we are doing 10 days on Honshu then flying up to Hokkaido for another week.

Our trip is locked in now, we are arriving in Tokyo on the 21st of Jan, then we head up to Fukushima Prefecture for a 6 day tour. Following that we have 3 days at Zao Onsen then we fly north for a week in Niseko returning home on the 7th of Feb.

Let's hope there is plenty of snow next year!
