ok... i have a season pass from Camelback and i've been looking for ppl who could go with me, but i got a little problem with it... cause most of my friends had no interested in snowboarding/skiing and my bf is busy at work.
i don't mind going alone, but it's still better to go with some friends. so i'mnn looking for ppl who waa go with me.
About me:
I just came to US one year ago, studying in a college.
i live in Parsippany NJ, have a car and my own snowboard.
obviously, i'm a girl.
BEGINNER..... I still fall a lot
Looking for:
1 or 2 beginners who go alone like me.
girls are better but I don't mind guys.
anyone interested in, just leave me a private msg or AIM: xiiikitty
Camelback is my "home" mountain (convenience not preference ). I have a season pass, I go often, and for the most part I board alone (same interest deal with my friends....NONE, lol). Not a beginner but I may be able to provide some pointers if we're at the slopes on the same day, we all started where you are. Just out of curiosity, have you ever taken a lesson? Also check out the "Tips, Tricks & Instructors" section of the forum, good information for all levels of riding.
I didn't take any lesson, but i watched a lot of sites and videos. I know the basic stuff like turning or stopping,i can do them too. Just too scared to put weight on the leading leg, so i lose the balance easily. The speed makes me lose my mind :/ can't really react quickly when riding, especially if lots of ppl are behind/around me, makes me even scared.
let me know if anyone wants a company to go with. mine is value pass... pretty much can go any day i want.
I've been wanting to go snowboarding for years, but all my friends are bums! They all either busy, don't have a job, or they're not interested in the sport. So I'm thinking about going by myself after new year. It will be my first time snowboarding so I'm going to be clueless lol.
If you don't mind me being a guy and a first time boarder, then just pm or email me for any questions(this goes out to anyone).
OP - my gf and I are both new to Snowboarding (just had our third day out), we're actually hitting up Camelback this weekend, want to get a season pass between either Camel, Shawnee, or Mt. Creek - and this will be our first trip to Camel. But it looks like Camel may be our best bet for Season passes, we're just south of Parsippany in Jersey as well, would be awesome to get some trips together in the future.
Went to Camelback yesterday and it was really good nice conditions, not really icy at all the 6inches the got Saturday really helped. I went with 2 of my GF co-workers who ride really well. which was good for me cause they pused me to ride hard(im feeling it today). Rode mostly Blue's and even a Double Black, which wasn't to bad even for PA. would really recomend it if your starting out.
I live right down the street from parsippany. Caldwell to be exact. I actually have more fun at blue mtn than camelback. I am down though. Somebody can pm me if you want to meet up. Been riding for 14 years so not a beginner
Well technically you're riding a 153 correct with that 2.5cm chopped off the nose and tail right?
Yeah I wanna see what Ride has.. but i loved that thing so much I'm just tempted to go ahead with it. I'm just not a fan of their binding system. As for riding yours, I'll pass.. haha I've been doing this a month.. so still a beginner yet (although I've gone almost every day) so I don't trust myself on anybodys equipment but my own hehe
